Clinical Supervision

Reflective, collaborative supervision for counsellors working with children and young people

Supporting qualified counsellors and counsellors in training through a supervision relationship built on trust, curiosity and professional growth.

A safe space to reflect, learn and grow

Good supervision provides more than accountability. It offers a dedicated space to reflect on your client work, explore challenges, celebrate successes and continue developing as a practitioner.

My supervision approach is person-centred, collaborative and reflective, valuing the supervisory relationship as central to professional growth. I aim to create a safe and containing space where support and appropriate challenge can exist simultaneously, enabling supervisee's to deepen their understanding of themselves, their clients and the therapeutic process.

My Approach to Supervision

I believe supervision should be a supportive, reflective and collaborative process that helps practitioners feel both challenged and encouraged.

My approach is grounded in person-centred values, creating a space where you can bring your client work openly and honestly. Together we can explore therapeutic relationships, ethical considerations, safeguarding concerns, personal process, professional development and the wider context of the work.

Whether you are newly qualified, in training or an experienced practitioner, supervision should provide a space where you feel able to think deeply, reflect safely and continue growing in your practice.

My Experience

I am a BACP-registered counsellor and clinical supervisor with over 10 years' experience supporting children and young people.

I began my counselling career with Place2Be before moving into charity-based counselling services, delivering therapeutic support across primary schools, secondary schools, community settings and online services.

Alongside my counselling work, I hold a Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision and have extensive experience working with children, young people and families facing a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges.

My experience allows me to support supervisees working with complex presentations while maintaining a focus on ethical, relational and developmentally appropriate practice.

Bereavement supervision for counsellors working with children and young people

Specialist Interest: Bereavement and Loss

Bereavement is an area of particular interest within my practice.

I have extensive experience supporting individuals affected by bereavement, including sudden death, suicide and sibling loss, through both school-based and community services. I have also worked with Cruse Bereavement Support and continue to undertake specialist bereavement training.

I welcome enquiries from counsellors working with bereaved children, young people and families who would benefit from specialist supervision in this area.

Before We Work Together

Finding the right supervisor is important.

I believe it is helpful to explore your hopes for supervision, your current practice and our mutual expectations before entering into a supervisory agreement.

For this reason, I offer a no-obligation online consultation. This gives us an opportunity to meet, discuss your needs and consider whether working together feels like the right fit.
