Supporting children and young people through life's challenges
Every child and young person experiences difficult times.
Whether they are struggling with anxiety, low mood, friendship difficulties, family changes, bereavement, self-esteem or overwhelming emotions, counselling can provide a safe space to explore what they are experiencing and develop healthier ways of coping.
I offer counselling for children and young people in Bingley and online, providing warm, creative and tailored support that meets each young person where they are.
A range of creative tools I use my sessions

How counselling can help
Young people don't always have the words to explain how they're feeling.
Sometimes these feelings show up in other ways, such as:
-
Increased anxiety or worry
-
Changes in mood
-
Anger or frustration
-
Withdrawal from family or friends
-
Low confidence or self-esteem
-
Difficulties at school or college
-
Struggles with friendships or relationships
-
Grief and loss
-
Self-harming behaviours
-
Feeling overwhelmed by change
Counselling offers a dedicated space where young people can explore these experiences safely, gain a better understanding of themselves and develop tools to manage life's challenges.
My counselling approach
Therapy that meets young people where they are
My core approach is person-centred, meaning I work alongside each young person and adapt sessions to meet their individual needs.
I also draw on attachment theory, play therapy and solution-focused approaches to create a therapeutic experience that feels accessible and meaningful.
Not every child or young person finds it easy to communicate through conversation alone. For this reason, I often incorporate creative and play-based methods into sessions, helping young people express themselves and process experiences in ways that feel natural and comfortable.
I work in a non-directive, confidential and relational way, creating a safe environment where young people can explore thoughts and feelings without judgement.
